    A Day With Mary.......

     
    I had my youngest niece spend the night this past Saturday! I like to have them stay with me every now and then. But I learned a while back to take them on one at a time! LOL
    This was my day with Mary.......we went to the lakefront
    Saw the seagulls....
     
     
    played on the rocks....
     
     
    and got frustrated with Aunty Colleen to get the camera to work....
     
     
    Then we stopped by the playground.....
     
     
    after some lunch at my favorite coffee place.....
     
     
    I can't believe how much food this little runt of a girl can put away!
    After that we took a stroll in the park.....can you see the Tower??
     
     
    here's a closer look......looks like a castle, huh?
     
     
    after all that we decided to head back towards home.
    On the way we passed The Milwaukee Art Museum.....pretty cool huh? It has wings, and they open and close. I'll have to get a better picture sometime!
     
     
    Oh, and here's that tower again....a full shot!
     
     
    On the way home we went by the neighborhood castle! Yep, I drive by this place a few times a week....It's not as big as some castles but it'll do in a pinch I suppose! :-) I took this picture for Chris since he wants to live in a castle. I'm sure he wants a bigger one! Most men do!! LOL
     
     
    So that was my day with Little Miss Mary. We went home, after stopping for ice cream, jeez, and watched Charlottes Web. One of my favorite stories from when I was her age, that and Stuart Little. After a story at bedtime she slipped off to dreamland without so much as a whimper!
    Me too!! 
     
     
     
    Life is truly good at times!!

    Aha!  Now you know what it's like being a grandparent.  I have one of my granddaughters here with me now.  Actually, I've been babysitting her the last couple of days.  She is only six, but she is a joy to be with.  Tomorrow, I think I have two more grandkids!!!
    They wear me out, but the also keep me young(er).
